In 2021, the company launched a new corporate volunteering project within which those Company employees who want to do good deeds get subsidies from the Company. The project became a part of the 20 Good Deeds anniversary marathon of GEROPHARM. With it, the Company hopes to inspire more employees to volunteer.

Following the first subsidy bid, the Company provided support to three Good Deed projects created by the Company employees in partnership with NGOs that tackle community needs.

The first one aims to support the education center for children with cerebral palsy in Samara established by Above the Rainbow NGO. GEROPHARM will assist the center by improving recreational areas for children and their parents, as well as a second bathroom with specialized equipment that is sorely needed at the center. This will allow children to study and relax in the most comfortable and safe environment.

The second project is meant to help create specialized educational content for children with health limitations in Omsk. It was decided to develop and produce new lapbooks (i. e., folders or books with communicative cards and themed images) with the assistance of the Our Children center. These materials will help improve speech recognition in the most severe cases and expand children’s passive and active vocabulary. Thanks to the new communicative cards, on the New Year’s Eve, children will learn about customs and traditions surrounding the holiday with the help of their parents and teachers.

The third project aims to refurbish recreational areas for remedial class students at one of the schools in Kursk. Oftentimes, these kids are bullied at school, other students call them names, jeer and even beat them just because they are different. A dedicated recreational area will allow those who try to remain unseen for fear of rejection to feel safe and comfortable during school breaks. Ophthalmologists were involved in the design of the area, adding bright interior decorations and furnishings to make them more apparent.
