GEROPHARM ranked by IMS
The November issue of the VADEMECUM, a weekly business magazine, included rankings of the top Russian pharmaceutical companies, which had been compiled by IMS, an international intelligence company.
The magazine’s staff decided to find out how the pharmaceutical market reform affected the leading manufacturers. The investigation was based on the IMS’s top pharmaceutical manufacturers’ sales ranking for 2013 and H1 2014. The finalists were the top 50 manufacturers, including the GEROPHARM Group that ranked 24th. Particular attention was given to the analysis of the companies’ business transparency. The degree of transparency was graded via the VADEMECUM’s “star system” traditionally used by intelligence companies. The maximum number of stars — four — was awarded to the most transparent companies that had provided complete information on their businesses. As a result, only six companies out of the 50 received four stars. The GEROPHARM Group hit the list of the most open and transparent companies.
GEROFRM also hit another interesting ranking which has a tell-tale title: “No Strangers Allowed”. GEROPHARM ranked 16th among the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in terms of their proprietary products manufacture volume. That ranking factored in the manufactures’ financial statements for 2013 and H1 2014 with respect to the commercial and public procurement markets.
