The issues on production prospects and export potential were discussed at the SMEs Forum
The head of GEROPHARM Group Petr Rodionov took part in the Russian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Forum "High demand for small enterprises" (SMEs Forum), which was held as part of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 15 in St. Petersburg.
The current status of small and medium-sized enterprises and measures, which can stimulate their potential and strengthen their role in the Russian economy, were the main topics for discussion.
Petr Rodionov participated in the discussion devoted to the industrial development in the most promising areas. During the session a special attention was paid to the production and export development. Speaking about the pharmaceutical industry potential, the head of GEROPHARM noted that the state program PHARMA-2020, which had brought production and local drug products development to the forefront, served as the impetus for the development of the entire pharmaceutical industry. "Import substitution in the pharmaceutical industry is a successful and effective program. The results of PHARMA 2020 are already visible. The increase of market share of local manufacturers only prove that", said the head of GEROPHARM. "Today we can speak about the completion of the first stage of the program, when the foundation for further industry development has been laid, and the beginning of a new one - export – oriented import substitution stage, when the company will be able to provide not only local market but also manufacture products with export potential".
