The General Director of GEROPHARM, Group of Companies Petr Rodionov
became the winner of the award “The Chief 2013” in “Chief Innovation”
The official award ceremony of the VII Independent Business Award “The
Chief of the Year” was held on October 14 in the Grand Hall of the D.
Shostakovich Saint Petersburg Philharmonia.
A total of more than 200 applications for participation in the VII
Independent Business Award “The Chief 2013” was filled; on which basis
an independent Expert Council consisting of the heads of business mass
media, business community and public organizations created a short list
of award candidates in the following nominations: “Chief Breakthrough of
the Year”, “Chief Innovation”, "Chief Publicity", “Chief Care”, “Chief
Patron”, “The Young Chief”, “Honoured Chief”. Names of the winners in
each of 7 nominations were declared at the ceremony. Kirill Nabutov as
usual hosted the ceremony.
By a decision of the Expert Council of the year, General Director of
GEROPHARM, Group of Companies Petr Rodionov was chosen as the winner in
the “Chief Innovation” category “for creation and implementation of the
federal project, for development of modern drugs and construction of new
health care production facilities in Russia, for development and
creation of the first Russian full-cycle plant manufacturing genetically
engineered human insulin.”
On October 2, an official opening of the high-tech complex
“GEROPHARM-Bio” took place in the Moscow Region (Serpukhov District).
The plant is a unique one in Russia, as it creates the conditions for
the drug safety; it is the first plant which locates all the stages of
socially significant drug production within the country and ensures its
independence from foreign suppliers of raw materials.
The Independent Business Award “The Chief of the Year” was established in 2007. The award aims at providing inspiration to representatives of business community in order to establish creative business approach and increase corporate social responsibility. “The Chief of the Year” was initiated by the “The Chief” magazine and takes place under the auspices of the Saint Petersburg Committee of Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade, the Leningrad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of the City Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, including a number of business associations and partners.
