GEROPHARM traditionally became a partner of All-Russian Student
Pharmaceutical Olympiad IV, which brought together talented students
from 26 Russian universities.
Within four days students not only managed to demonstrate their
knowledge, but also became involved in various master classes and
visited manufacturing and research facilities of the partner companies.
During the first day of the Olympiad 30 students visited
GEROPHARM R&D centre located in a special economic zone "Neudorf"
where they were briefed about drug development process, new technologies
and their implementation in industrial production. Irina Nikitina,
Deputy Director of Pharmaceutical Development of Pharm-Holding, told
students about the structure of the company and the main line of its
action activities. A tour around research centre laboratories was
organised for the Olympians. This tour was given by Irina Shimolina,
Director of Pharm-Holding, and Vitaly Latypov, Head of Genetic
Engineering Laboratory. The students also had the unique opportunity to
virtually visit company’s production facility located in town of
Obolensk, Moscow region. Anastasia Andreeva, Assistant Director of
Pharm-Holding, gave the students a virtual tour around the facility.
Blitz quiz was held as part of the Olympiad. Each partner company
prepared specific questions for it. Task created by GEROPHARM was
successfully done by Ekaterina Pevneva, a fifth-year student of the
Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Professor V. F.
Voyno-Yasenetsky. As a reward she received a certificate for an annual
online English course at the EF Englishtown International School.
According to the competitive programme results, team of the Yaroslavl State Medical Academy won the Olympiad. Awards ceremony was the conclusion of the four days of the Olympiad. All-Russian Student Pharmaceutical Olympiad V in 2017 will be held in Moscow region.
