The biggest educational event was held in Kazan from 30 to 31 January;
it gathered students from more than 30 higher educational institutions
of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus. The main project organizer
was the Association of Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (ARPM)
supported by the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and the
leading pharmaceutical companies.
Involving young high potential staff has always been an important task
for the Russian pharmaceutical company GEROPHARM. That’s why the
company became an official partner of the Olympics this year. As part of
the Olympics, GEROPHARM organized its own competition. The winners of
the competition became the students from the Arkhangelsk Northern State
Medical University. The team correctly answered a quiz questions
(prepared by GEROPHARM) related to specific manufacturing of
lyophilizates and gained a unique opportunity to visit the opening of
new high-tech plant GEROPHARM in the Moscow Region this year.

the very idea of the Pharmaceutical Olympics since this competition is
attended by the best and the most talented students genuinely interested
in the chosen profession and wishing to continue improvement of their
skills. We are interested in these young professionals since group of
companies GEROPHARM develops rapidly and we expand our production and
invest in R&D. We would like talented young people to join our team,
because this generation currently participating in the Olympics will be
a leading force in tomorrow’s domestic pharmaceutical industry.
According to the results of an intense competition program the team of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Saint Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy became the winner. The team members will undertake a two-month internship at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University. The students of the Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy took the second place. The students of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University took the third place.
