10 July 2015

A formal award ceremony for winners of the fourth Russian journalistic and media competition “Osnova Rosta” (“Growth Basics”) was held on July 6. This year GEROPHARM set up a new nomination: “Best media coverage of challenges of the Russian pharmaceutical industry development.”

Open dialogue with mass media is of utmost importance for comprehensive coverage of the process of pharmaceutical industry reform. GEROPHARM initiates new nominations as part of awards, organizes competitions for journalists, initiates regular meetings with media public representatives both in the form of press breakfasts and as part of outdoor events on a regular basis.

Besides, GEROPHARM closely cooperates with journalists from different regions of Russia, regularly arranges media briefings and production tours to provide information on the company’s development results, future plans and projects.

“Pharmaceutical industry has experienced major reforms in the recent years and we are convinced that openness and comprehensive dialogue between all market participants will contribute to the effectiveness of such changes. The contribution of media in this process is very important, because it helps to describe complicated issues in simple terms and we are happy that this year we have received a number of applications for this nomination, including applications for series of publications,” says Petr Rodionov, Head of GEROPHARM Group.

Tatyana Bateneva, a reporter of “Rossiyskaya gazeta” covering the pharmaceutical industry development became the winner.

The competition was held as a part of Osnova Rosta 2015 Award to promote the development of high-quality business journalism and determine the best materials, authors and media. Proprietary content published in regional and federal media dully registered in 2014–2015 was eligible for participation in the competition.
