GEROPHARM became the winner of a professional award in the area of pharmaceutical logistics and quality

The DLP project (DIGITAL. LOGISTICS. PHARMA) of GEROPHARM Transport Logistics Department was recognized as the best in nomination “DIGITAL: Project of the Year” by SCM Pharm professional pharmaceutical logistics and quality award.

The project has been in progress for over a year. It started with the development of a new GEROPHARM transport strategy in February 2021 and ended in May 2022 with the implementation of TMS (software) to manage the transportation process in accordance with GDP requirements.

The implementation of the project resulted in a significant efficiency increase and reduced company risks:

• department productivity has increased by more than 30 % without an increase in the number of employees
• terms of document circulation and risks of untimely or erroneous execution of transport documentation have been reduced
• the number of forwarders has increased by 4 times, the distribution of transportation between them is based on the automatic KPI assessment
• the risks of using unqualified vehicles during transportation are excluded without increasing labour costs
• paper consumption is reduced by 50 %

For 6 months, authoritative experts in the area of pharmacy have been studying the projects presented for the award. The high score of the jury and a confident victory in the nomination became a well-deserved result of teamwork of the Transport Logistics Department. The award was a memorial sign, the silver rod of Asclepius, as a symbol of medicine and knowledge.
