The delegation from Myanmar got acquainted with the manufacturing site of GEROPHARM in Pushkin

As part of the business programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, representatives of Myanmar visited the manufacturing site of GEROPHARM located in the city of Pushkin.

The delegation headed by the Minister of Health of Myanmar and the Director of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the country got acquainted with the production capabilities and innovative developments of the Russian pharmaceutical company.

The guests paid special attention to insulin production technology and the latest medicinal products for the treatment of obesity.

According to latest data, there is an increase in the incidence of diabetes mellitus in Myanmar. Statistics show that the number of patients with diabetes in the country exceeds 2 million.

"GEROPHARM tends to expand international cooperation and actively shares technological developments and expertise with partners. We intend to deepen our cooperation with the countries of South-East Asia and in the near future we plan to sign a cooperation agreement with a company from Myanmar," said Maksim Nesin, Acting Head of International Development Unit of GEROPHARM.

The visit of the delegation was an important step in the development of international relations between the two countries in the field of pharmaceuticals and healthcare. The parties expressed interest in further development of partnership relations and exchange of experience.
