Uzbekistan’s Vice Prime Minister Visits GEROPHARM’s Plant in Pushkin

While attending the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and his delegation visited GEROPHARM’s plant. The guests were offered a tour of the production centre and were briefed on the full-cycle insulin manufacturing process, from raw substance to finished dosage form.

“GEROPHARM is a leading full-cycle insulin manufacturer in the CIS, and we are committed to share our knowledge and expertise with our partners. We are eager to expand our cooperation to make effective therapies even more accessible to patients in Uzbekistan”, says GEROPHARM CEO Petr Rodionov.

GEROPHARM has been exporting its products to Uzbekistan since 2021. To date, five insulin products have been approved in the country, in addition to original neurological and ophthalmic medications.

Furthermore, supported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, GEROPHARM is undertaking initiatives to enhance the prevention, diagnosis, and management of diabetes mellitus. Among other projects, in 2022, a training programme for physicians at endocrinology centres was initiated in Uzbekistan. The primary objective of the programme is to prepare trainers for diabetes schools in all regions of the country.
