With the support of GEROPHARM “Children Also Suffer from Diabetes” project was implemented

With the support of GEROPHARM, “Children Also Suffer from Diabetes” project aimed at improving the disease compensation in children left without parental care was implemented in 2022.

On November 11, World Diabetes Day Eve, press conference on the results of the initiative was held.

The event was attended by the representatives of GEROPHARM and other project organizers: National Medical Research Centre for Endocrinology and “Alfa-Endo” programme.

Press conference participants talked about how children with diabetes live in boarding schools, what problems they face, how endocrinologists worked with pupils and employees of boarding schools, and how else they can be helped.

All experts emphasized the importance of cooperation between the state, non-profit and commercial organisations for the effective solution of social problems and supported the need for further implementation and scaling of the project.

“Children Also Suffer from Diabetes” project provides boarding school students with all the most important information for controlling and managing the disease in order to lead an active, eventful life. Definitely, it needs to be continued and developed,” noted Petr Rodionov, General Director of GEROPHARM.
