In 2020 in Saint Petersburg, GEROPHARM launched the Diabetes. Theater. Children project on the Diabetes in Persons platform. The drama school helps children and their parents realize that when well-controlled, the type 1 diabetes diagnosis is not a reason to give up an active lifestyle and creative pursuits.

Within the project, children with type 1 diabetes mellitus are trained in acting, scenic speech, making puppets, costumes, and sets, and are engaged in show production at the Karlsson Haus studio. These activities make children more confident, help them uncap new faculties and develop communication and teamwork skills. The program is supervised by teachers, an endocrinologist, and a psychologist.

Along with the actors from the Karlsson Haus studio, children produce shows based on popular fairy tales and their own scripts.

The shows with little actors help draw public attention to the issue of inclusion of children with diabetes, tell about their hardships, and further their socialization.
